John Collins

John Collins has a diverse background in architecture, construction, performance and design for stage and film. His hands on approach, incredible work ethic and unique vision have kept him in high demand since entering the film industry. He recently finished production design on the feature film "Boogeyman 2" (Jeff Betancourt director) with Mandate Pictures, Ghosthouse and Columbia Pictures. Production design credits on short films include; THE PIN, I SEE YOU, SUI GENERIS, BLACK GULCH, FORTUNATE SON, BERSERKER, MANUEL, ENTITY:NINE, WENTWORTH, PRETTY DEAD GIRL, SACRIFICE, and VERONICA'S VEIL. He has served as art director for numerous short films and has designed several national commercials. John has been a consistent presence in the last two years with Adam Sandler's company "Happy Madison" completing six features as an art director. (Grandma's Boy, The Benchwarmers, Click, Strange Wilderness, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, You Don't Mess With The Zohan) John recently received an honorable mention for "Ingenuity and Lateral Thinking" from the United States Institute for Theatre Technology for his entry into the Prague Quadrennial. His "YELLOW BOX" was part of an exhibit representing American designers at the international expo. John has a BS in Environmental Design and a Professional degree in Architecture (with honors in writing) from Ball Sate University in Muncie, IN, a Diploma of Fine Arts from the Volgograd Academy of Architecture and Engineering in Volgograd, Russia and a Master's of Fine Arts degree from the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA.
